Lightning P1B XA847 Gravel Arrested landing trials Farnborough July 1968. c/n 95004.

Prototype P1B built 4/4/57. Aerodynamic and reheat trials with English Electric & A&AEE. As P1F fitted with large extension fin by 5/63 for further aerodynamic tests with EE. 29/4/66 to RAE Fanborough, and grounded for gravel arrested landing trials. To Henlow 6/69, then exhibited at the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon until 1988. This aircraft is now owned by Giles Howell at Stowmarket in Suffolk and was in the static park at SBAC Farnborough airshow in September 1994
